The LAGRANT Foundation: Two-Time Recipient
2024 & 2025
NYC & New Jersey
As a two-time LAGRANT Foundation Scholar, I had the opportunity to participate in professional development trips to New York and New Jersey, connecting with fellow marketing and communications students from across the country and learning from industry leaders at companies including Mars, Omnicom, Bayer, Starbucks, Ketchum, WE Communications and Procter & Gamble.
Through agency visits, case study presentations, networking events and a hands-on pitch presentation, I gained valuable insight into the advertising, public relations and marketing industries. These experiences also gave me the opportunity to learn from established professionals, explore different career paths and build meaningful connections with peers and industry leaders.

National Millennial and Gen Z Community (NMGZ) — Field Trip
2025
Seattle
As a participant in the National Millennial and Gen Z Community (NMGZ), I traveled to Seattle, Washington, for a professional development field trip focused on exploring different industries and career paths. Throughout the week, I visited organizations including Starbucks, WE Communications, Microsoft, Seattle Magazine, JoySauce and GeekWire, where I learned from professionals in corporate social responsibility, public relations, public affairs and media.

These experiences gave me a closer look at how organizations approach social impact, navigate emerging technologies like AI and communicate with their audiences. I also had the opportunity to hear about professionals’ career journeys and gain insight into different roles within the communications industry.
